Description of MainPRO's options :
MainPRO is divided into different modules. Each module
gives access to a specific type of information. Such as:
3.1. Parts : Parts are the base units
which, once assembled, will make up a piece of equipment or machinery. The
following actions are possible :

View the information related to a given part

View a graphical representation (picture or sketch) of the part

Modify the information of a part
-
Add a new part
-
Delete an existing part
1.2. Equipment : An equipment is
considered to be an assembly of different parts and sub-equipment. The
equipment module allows the following actions :

View the
information related to a given piece of equipment (code or number,
manufacturer, technical specifications, etc.)

View a graphical
representation (picture or sketch) for visual identification of the
equipment
-
Modify the
information of a piece of equipment
-
Add a new piece
of equipments and all related information
-
Delete a piece
of equipment and all related information
-
Allows full
customization of the attributes list
Ex.: Blower (voltage, amps, RPM)
Lift truck (max charge, max height)

View every
component of a piece of equipment, including sub-equipments and parts
Ex.: A diesel generator is made of a mechanical part (motor) and an
electrical part
(generator). Each of these parts are considered a piece of equipments
which is made of
other smaller parts.
1.3. Suppliers :
The following actions are possible :

View the information about a supplier (name, address, contact, list of
available products)

Modify the information about a supplier
-
Add a new supplier
-
Delete an existing supplier
1.4. Tasks : A
task can be any action taken on a piece of equipment. Maintenance tasks
can be divided into two distinct categories :

Preventive
Maintenance
-
Periodically
(daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, ect.)

Following a
meter value (every 2500 hours of use)
-
Corrective
Maintenance
A list of tasks
is assigned to every piece of equipment according to the maintenance plan.
The following actions are possible in the Tasks module :

View a list of tasks associated with a given piece of equipment

Modify the information about a task
-
Add a new task
-
Delete a task
-
Assign a task to a piece of equipment
-
View a list of recommendations and safety guidelines for each task
1.5. Employees :
This module allows the management of employee information. It offers the
following actions :

View the information about an employee (number, name, department, etc.)
-
Modify the information about an employee
-
Delete employee information from the database
1.6. Orders :
This module contains the necessary functions for order management. They
are :

View information about previous orders
-
Initiate a new order, c/w print outs of the purchase orders
-
Automatically manage stock reception right into the program, automatically
updating your inventory information.
1.7. Work Slips :
The work slips module allows you to track your jobs by grouping all of the
information concerning a specified job on a single slip. There are two
types of work slips :

The following actions are possible for either type of work slips:

View the information related to a slip
-
Add, modify or delete a slip
-
Close a slip and file a report once the job is done
2. Administration :
This option allows the system manager to
grant and revoke access rights to users. He can create and delete user
accounts as well as grant access to the information on multiple levels
such as read only, add, modify, delete, etc.
3. Help :
This option allows access to the extensive help offered by
the software. Detailed step-by-step instructions on how to use the
software as well as some basic troubleshooting techniques are available at
your fingertips.
